Are You Considering an ICAP Assignment that Requires a Geographic Relocation?

For your convenience, an ICAP Relocation Cost Estimate Worksheet has been created and is available for downloading. This worksheet is designed to give you a feel for the types of expenses involved when accepting an ICAP assignment that requires a geographic relocation. The worksheet includes costing categories authorized by the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) for "Temporary Change of Station" moves, which are used for ICAP assignments requiring relocation within CONUS*. Not all categories/costs will be appropriate for every case, and changes will occur over time - so please refer to the cited JTR references and work in concert with your local travel officials to develop the most accurate estimates. Points to Consider

• ICAP relocation expenses are centrally funded by HQDA upon approval by the Office of the Deputy Chief G2.
• Requests must be forwarded through command channels to the DCS, G-2, Intelligence Personnel Management Office, for approval prior to confirmation of ICAP placement.
• Upon approval and before movement occurs, funding support and conditions will be documented in an individual memorandum of agreement for each ICAP placement.
