For shorter training programs, rental car requests are handled on a case-by-case basis and must be approved by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Manpower and Reserve Affairs) prior to the start of the training. Each request must include full justification and show that having a rental car would be more cost effective. Mileage reimbursement and per diem are limited to the constructive cost of common carrier transportation and related per diem as determined in the JTR.

ACTEDS resources may NOT be used to purchase books that the instructor has not required such as computers, calculators, sweatshirts, backpacks, or similar items. If special equipment is needed, your parent command is responsible for providing the necessary equipment (e.g., calculators, lap tops, etc.) for the duration of the training.
