Requesters
The AIES process begins with the Requester. A requester submits an investigation
request through the Personnel Security Investigation Portal (PSIP) to the PSI-CoE.
Requesters are responsible for:
- Providing complete and accurate subject information in their request to the
Personnel Security Investigation Portal (PSIP) including an OF 306 and
resume/application if needed
- Advising the subject to be available for at least one week after request
submission to complete SF-8X
- Taking fingerprints or providing the subject with fingerprinting
location/instructions. For more information regarding fingerprints
- Making or coordinating interim collateral determination
- Making or coordinating suitability determination, as applicable
- Taking ownership of subject in JPAS
- Posting interim decision in JPAS
- Reporting OF79A suitability determination as necessary
- Taking appropriate action when termination e-mail is received
- Notifying the PSI-CoE if investigation is no longer needed
- Reviewing all returned SF8X forms for derogatory information IAW AR 380-67
