Award Winners
The Headquarters, Department of the Army, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-2, is happy to announce that the recipient of the 2013 Thomas Dillon Award for Security Excellence is Mr. Matthew L. Lease. Mr. Lease is from the Installation Management Command – Pacific, U.S. Army Garrison - Japan. His nomination demonstrated a highly motivated and skillful individual who made significant contributions to include the implementation and maintenance of an aggressive security education and awareness program within the Asia-Pacific Region. The Army G-2 congratulates Mr. Lease on his accomplishments and thanks him for his dedication to the U.S. Army Garrison - Japan mission and to the security education and awareness program.
The HQDA, ODCS, G-2, is also pleased to announce MAJ Elizabeth M. Popiak, 15th Regimental Signal Brigade, Ft Gordon, GA and Ms. Susan L. Browder-Dubois, U.S. Army Installation Management Command – Europe Region, as the 2013 Honorable Mentions. Both individuals demonstrated a high degree of innovation and creativity in promoting security excellence throughout their respective Commands. The level of professionalism exhibited from their contributions reflects well on their professionalism and competence as well as the U.S. Army security community.

All entries demonstrated a high standard for security excellence and displayed an impressive combination of talent and dedication to the Army security posture.
