Central Clearance Facility

Central Clearance Facility (CCF) serves as the U.S. Army’s executive agency for personnel security determinations in support of Army world-wide missions.

The CCF mission is to grant, revoke, and deny eligibility based on personnel security background investigations and continuing evaluation reports.

The CCF adjudicator is the first decision level, in both the military and civilian process. The adjudicator is a trained security specialist who must review all the information provided by the investigation and determine whether to grant or deny eligibility for a security clearance. If they deny eligibility for a security clearance, then a Letter of Intent will be issued.
